Nicholas Barron and Ben Davis

February 24 at 7:30 PM
Suggested donation of $15 at the door (all proceeds go to the performers)
Chicago based Blues and Folk musician Nicholas Barron has been a hardworking Chicago busker since 1987 when he founded the Coalition for the Advancement of Street Art (C.A.S.A) by canvassing both Chicago street artists and the public and train riders who loved them. Working closely with the ACLU - C.A.S.A triumphed over Gold Coast Alderman Burt Natarus' plan to kick street musicians out of the loop.  Nicholas honed his unique percussive acoustic funk fusion style over years of drawing crowds as a busker.  Over the last 25 years, he has been sharing the stage with names as broad as Johnny Cash and Dave Mason.
Nicholas will be joined by Alternative string musician Ben Davis who came to prominence with his 2007 Mercury Prize-winning group Basquiat Strings  Ben has since made music with a wide range of leading artists in classical, pop, and jazz.
